Place: Nottingham Park Office, 150 Park Road , Nottingham, PA 19362 at 8:15 a.m.

Note: Dedicated in 1963, this is the first Chester County Park. It sits atop one of the largest serpentine barrens on the East Coast. Recognized by the National Park Service in 2008 for its natural history and conservation efforts.

Note: A half day trip covering about 2.3 miles on unpaved moderately steep trails. Wear sturdy shoes. Bring sunscreen, water and snacks. Those who wish to can enjoy lunch in the park after our walk.

Directions: Take Route 1 south to Route 272. Turn left onto 272 south then turn right at first right, Herr Drive. In about 1500 feet, take the first right onto Old Baltimore Pike, then the first right onto Park Road. Headquarters will be on the left.

Carpooling: Meet at Painters Crossing, PA, on the northwest corner of US Routes 1 and 202. Departure time 7:15 a.m.
