Note: Half day trip. The walk is about 2 miles on a paved walkway and will take about 2 to 2.5 hours. This trip is open to all levels of birders, but will focus on helping the beginning birders improve their skills.
The Sanctuary is an important habitat for waterfowl and migratory birds and contains acres of wetlands, woodlands and meadows dedicated to wildlife habitat and public use.
Directions: Black Rock Sanctuary is located at 953 Black Rock Road about 1 mile north of Phoenixville on Route 113 between Riverwalk Drive and Winding River Boulevard.
